The young and trendy Miami residents hang out in Bohemian Coconut Grove. This is one of the oldest areas of the city, established in 1825, and is now popular with art and theatre loves. Every year it hosts one of the biggest contemporary arts festivals in the world, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. This is also where you will find the Coconut Grove Playhouse which has been running since the mid-1950s.
Although during the day this area is more like a village, at night it is transformed into one of Miami's premier clubbing scenes and like South Beach, it attract world famous DJs and beautiful people.
Every March, Miami confirms its status as an international party city by hosting the Winter Music Conference. DJs and dance industry big-wigs from over 70 different countries turn up for this mega event and the whole city turns into a dance floor.
